The name Soroptimist was coined from the Latin “soro,” meaning “sister,” and “optimia,” meaning “best.” Thus, Soroptimist is interpreted as "best for women."
We are an international volunteer organization whose mission is to improve the lives of women and girls locally and globally. Soroptimist are women at their best working to assist other women to be their best.
If you are looking for an organization that is working towards advancing human rights and the status of women, and always working towards making our local community a better place to live, please join us for one of our weekly meetings. Come meet our dynamic members and make new friends.
We meet every Friday at 7:30 am – 8:30 am. See our schedule page for more details.
